We currently have 2 positions available with almost immediate starts. One position is for 40 hours+ on a 5 days out of 7 days working pattern (with the ability to work on a Sat or Sun), the other position for 16hrs per week working predominately Friday to Sunday with the possibility of additional work during the week.

Crown Marquees and Crown Castles is a family owned business providing marquees, inflatable play equipment and other entertainment equipment hire throughout Glasgow and central Scotland. In this role your responsibilities would include the following:

1)Under direction - plan, manage, load and unload a variety of equipment for various jobs ensuring that vehicles are loaded correctly and ready for site deliveries. You must ensure that correct and safe handling is always used and that crew members check jobs sheets accurately.

2)Under clear instruction and direction work with the crew on site erecting & dismantling marquees, bouncy castles, furniture and other hire equipment. This will also include carrying equipment to and from vehicles with crew members and driving to and from delivery locations. The equipment can be marquee frames, bouncy castles, tables, chairs, flooring etc. or anything else relevant to our industry. Therefore, it is beneficial if you are fit and healthy and enjoy the workout provided by physical labour.

3)Clean equipment, and encourage other crew members to clean maintain and organise equipment as it arrives back from the job site, again this includes items such as vinyl’s, tables, chairs, bars, sofas, bouncy castles and possibly catering equipment.

4)Assist in housekeeping tasks and promote efficient organisational tasks during downtime such as tidying the yard / warehouse. Ensure all equipment are put away properly and in the right place.

4)Work within and enforce any policy or procedure as issued by Crown Castles & Marquees Health and Safety documentation.

5) Light administration tasks including fling of H&S paperwork, ensuring customer risk assessments are carried out and daily cash receipts are properly recorded.

This is an exciting yet challenging opportunity for the right candidates. You will be paid for every hour you work but will be expected to be punctual, reliable and work demanding hours. We will not tolerate unreliable workers who do not turn up for work on a Sat morning due to hangovers! Job Type: 4 month trial on a self employed basis with the view to permanent employment by the company thereafter.

Salary: £9.00 to £10.00 /hour
